You asked for it, I gave in. Here are my favourite bodycare products!
Skincare and bodycare are things I get very keen on. With the pandemic, I got even more meticulous about these. Taking a shower or a bath is a daily luxury I am truly grateful for and do enjoy everyday. I love smelling nice and I of course like things that smell nice.
After sharing my fave go-to scents last year, I have had a few requests on the bodycare products I like and enjoy. So here, I have come up with a little list of my favourite bodycare products:
ALL TIME FAVE:
BYREDO’S BLANCHE
I have listed Blanche as one of my fave go-to scents and for the past year, my love for the scent grew even more that it has become my signature scent. This has a very crisp, clean scent with hints of sweetness which elates my mood everytime I use any products with this scent. With top notes of aldehyde and rose centifolia, middle notes of peony and violet, and base notes of musk and sandalwood; everyone would certainly get enticed with this scent. I do have various products for this, from a Hand Creme, Eau de Parfum in 2 sizes, Hair Perfume, Body Wash and Body Cream.
FAVE EMPTIES:
NECESSAIRE THE BODY WASH / THE BODY SERUM
There was a time last year when everyone was posting their shower shelves and most top posts featured Necessaire products and so I did give in to the hype and got myself one The Body Wash in Eucalyptus and one The Body Serum came with it for free. Ever since I started using it, I have been reaching for it and have gone through bottles of it, like literally, it’s my fave empties as I get another one whenever I finish a bottle. Yes, it was worth the hype. I love using it as it relaxes me, thanks to the Eucalyptus scent. The Body Serum is fragrance free which helps when you want to apply another product on top of it, most especially during the colder months, and it’s not sticky at all.
FAVE SCENT OF THE SUMMER:
LE LABO’S NEROLI 36
My favourite pick-me-up scent? Le Labo’s Neroli 36! This has been my scent whole summer! Now I can’t help but associate it with summer and it just makes me smile. With notes of rose, musk, mandarin orange, jasmine and vanilla, this has certainly become my favourite citrusy, floral scent! I have the shower gel and the body lotion and I’m almost finished with them as summer has come to end but to remind me of the amazing summer I had this year, I would certainly get new bottles to make me look forward to summer next year!
FAVE NEW DISCOVERY:
PENHALIGON’S THE FAVOURITE
Having lived in the UK for a while, I’m quite the late bloomer in discovering Penhaligon’s but thankfully, not too late. So yes, having said that, Penhaligon’s The Favourite is my latest addition to my little collection. The bottle is so pretty and so is the scent. With top notes of violet, mandarin orange and freesia, middle notes of mimosa, iris and jasmine sambac, and base notes of musk, ambroxan and sandalwood; floral at first but then woody-musky later on, I didn’t know I would fall for woody/musky scents but the mixture was quite nice with The Favourite.
FAVE HIGH STREET GEM:
&OTHERSTORIES’ LARKSTADEN
Not everyone knows that &Otherstories has few of the best bodycare products and my favourite scent would be Larkstaden. Larkstaden is an almond-based scent interpreted through a blend of pistachio, coconut and vanilla. Yes it is, nutty-sweet, that you would certainly enjoy. I have the body wash, body oil and body lotion but I would say I enjoyed the body oil the most. I just apply this on days when I feel like my skin feels dull and needs a bit more moisture. I also enjoy these products during the winter, transitioning to Spring and during the Springtime too. These products from &Otherstories are vegan as well.
FAVE FLORAL SCENT:
PARFUMS DE MARLY’S DELINA
A very elegant scent that I get asked about everytime I wear it would be Parfums de Marly’s Delina. It was a love it or hate it relationship with this one at first. I liked it when I first smelled it then when I purchased it, I thought it was too strong for me. It eventually grew on me that I enjoy wearing this, though this isn’t a scent I would wear everyday, probably on special days only. The top notes are litchi, rhubarb, bergamot and nutmeg, middle notes with turkish rose, peony, musk, petalia, and vanilla, and the bottom notes are cashmeran, cedar, haitian vetiver and incense. I have the shower gel and body cream.
FAVE BODY EXFOLIATOR:
JO MALONE’S LIME BASIL AND MANDARIN EXFOLIATING SHOWER GEL
Lime Basin and Mandarin is an amazing gender-neutral scent that everybody can enjoy and this exfoliating shower gel is fun when used. I like it how there are beads when you get some product and it’s still gentle when you apply it on your skin.
FAVE BEDTIME BUDDIES
SANTA MARIA NOVELLA MELOGRANO BODY MILK AND FRESIA BODY CREAM
I love smelling and feeling clean before bedtime so I could sleep more soundly. After taking a nighttime shower, I apply these babies from Santa Maria Novella to make these possible and these just smell heavenly. I mostly alternate them but sometimes use them together. You would smell like a baby after applying them.
FAVE MOOD BOOSTER:
BYREDO’S LA TULIPE
La Tulipe is another Byredo scent I certainly love and whenever I get to smell anything with this scent, my mood just gets better. La Tulipe’s top notes are cyclamen, freesia and rhubarb, middle note is tulip and the base notes are blond woods and vetiver. When I got to smell this instore at Byredo, I got mesmerized with how amazing it smells, I went to buy the body lotion which I have been using these days. I’m not sure what it is but this just makes me smile.
FAVE TRAVE BUDDIES:
JO MALONE ENGLISH PEAR AND FREESIA
Jo Malone’s English Pear and Freesia is also one of my go-to scents and definitely my most used products especially when I go out of town, or even it’s just a sleepover at a friend’s house. English Pear and Freesia is such a sophisticated scent that you’ll never go wrong with it!
Bodycare products like body washes and body creams/ lotions are the best way to go before investing in perfumes. I love my scents but I don’t want to get something I wouldn’t be able to finish. So, getting bodycare products first before perfumes always works for me. Also, I just love how the scent lingers in the bathroom the whole day for most of these scents!

Above is my little shower shelf situation. Lovely, isn’t it?
Be pretty, be happy, be you! H~
