Sur.Medic Suncreams

Your new best friends this summer!

Sur.Medic is the new skincare brand from Neogen. They described themselves as, developed by Neogenlab, Surmedic is your personal skin concierge that ensures your skin vitals are in check 24/7. It provides a daily first-aid concept skin solution that is effective, easy, accessible anywhere, yet flexible enough to customize to your everyday changing skin condition. They offer a wide range of skincare products perfect for daily use, from sheet masks to cleansers and creams, even face masks. They carry the tagline, For every skin concern, we have the solution.

I was first drawn to this brand thanks to their KF-94 face masks, yes, these are the only masks that don’t give me breakouts or what we call, maskne. I then decided to try out more products from them, particularly their suncreams. The British summer may be unpredictable, raining most of the time but with lovely, sunny days too. We even had heatwaves in June and mid July. Thankfully, I had these babies and I was already trying them out. I could not even keep reiterating how important suncreams are. You have to put some on daily, even when it’s not summer!

Sur.Medic Azulene Mild 5.5 UV Protect Sun

The Sur.Medic Azulene Mild 5.5 UV Protect Sun is a multi-functional daily sunscreen that offers wrinkle improvement, brightening care, and sun protection without a sticky after-feel.

This sunscreen offers organic UV Blocking with SPF 50+ PA++++ to protect the skin. This contains azulene and cica that helps soothe and calm the skin. This also contains five kinds of ceramide and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and form a moisture barrier on your skin. This has been tested to suit those with irritated and sensitive skin.

After more than a month, more like 6 weeks of usage, I am more than impressed with this sunscreen. It is not sticky at all, really lightweight and most importantly, it doesn’t leave a white cast. When I first saw that this had a blue tone due to the azulene content, I was initially scared, but there was no need to worry at all! It spreads well and is really good for daily use. I think my only concern was it was difficult to squeeze out the product when it was starting to run low (yes, I’ve been using it that much that I am about to get a new tub of this actually!). Also, this has a floral, more like lavender-like scent to it, nice, but I’m not a fan of scents in my products. Despite these, I would definitely repurchase this!

Sur.Medic Azulene Mild UV Tone-Up Sun Primer

The Sur.Medic Azulene Mild UV Tone-Up Sun Primer is a multifunctional physical sunscreen with SPF 50+ PA++++ protection that contains skin-soothing guaiazulene to protect the skin against UV radiation. This naturally brightens dull skin and refine wrinkles.

This suncream adheres to skin closely with a natural tone-up effect. This also contains ceramide and hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin. This suncream acts out as a makeup primer and is proven to be hypoallergenic.

After 6 weeks of use, though I haven’t really reached out to this as frequent as the Mild Protect Sun, I’m pretty happy with this. Considering that, I think I have used up almost half of this suncream already. This is for those who love multifunctional products as this is a sunscreen and primer in one with hydrating and wrinkle care benefits. This is a bit sticky which is probably why I’m not the biggest fan. Yes, it truly has good adherence, if that’s what you’re looking for. If I have mentioned the fragrance of the first one, then this one still has a scent to it but a different kind and a bit milder. You can definitely see the tone up effect upon application with its purple tone. Most importantly, even when it’s a primer, it doesn’t leave a white cast.

I am happy and impressed with these suncreams! Giving both 4/5!

Be pretty, be happy, be you! H~
