Skincare products to incorporate in your beauty regime to keep your skin hydrated this Winter!
It’s December and it’s officially Winter in a few days time. One major problem I always encounter during the winter months is dry, and even flaky skin. Whenever this happens, I can’t barely apply any makeup on my face and if it does, it doesn’t look good at all (yes, it can even be unsightful). This is why I keep my skin hydrated most especially during the winter months.
It has always been a trial and error for me when it comes to beauty and skincare. I have sensitive skin so I’m always careful with the products I use. I make sure to read the ingredients one product has before trying them out, or even before purchasing them. Having written that, I will be featuring products I have already tried, tested and trusted (but please note that we all have different skincare types and concerns too).
To combat dry skin during the winter months, these are the products I make sure to incorporate in my skincare routine:
Serum

Serum is a skincare product that is made of concentrated, powerful ingredients made for specific concerns your skin needs. I layer atleast 2-3 serums during my nighttime skincare routine during the winter. These have been extremely helpful during the season.
3 serums I totally recommend are, first, the Somebymi Snail Truecica Miracle Repair Serum. This is very hydrating and very helpful for fading acne scars. Second is the Neogen Dermalogy Probiotics Double Action Serum. This is one product I have been loving for most of the year, you get two things in one product too, focusing mainly on moisture and hydration. The third one would be the Beauty of Joseon Calming serum. I have recently reviewed this and was amazed by how soothing this could be on the skin which I thought would be of great help most especially for the season, which is why I purchased two spare bottles already.

Facial Mist

Facial mists are usually water-based liquid in a spray bottle made to nourish the skin. If you need these for the summer, all the more for the winter. Your skin gets extremely dehydrated during the colder months making it very dry.
The 3 facial mists that I have been using now and again are the Neogen Dermalogy Probiotics Youth Repair Mist, the COSRX Cooling Aqua Facial Mist and the Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner.

Sleeping Mask

Sleeping Masks are skincare products that work overnight to repair and replenish the skin. I usually skip this regularly but I make sure to add this to my winter nighttime skincare regime after my moisturizer, or if not to replace it. These products seal all the products you use before them and boost your skin while you’re sleeping. I’d always love waking up with supple skin, most especially during the Winter!
I am currently using 2 sleeping masks, these are the Dr Jart+ Firming Sleeping Mask which stays true to its name, it does make your skin firmer and nourished overnight; and the other one is the Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping Mask, green tea is great for revitalizing and hydrating the skin which is why I love this one as it does what it promises without breaking me out.

Sheet Masks

If there is one skincare step that I totally love, it’s sheet masking! Sheet masks are special sheets soaked with ingredients for specific uses. These are great to nourish and hydrate the skin. I love my sheet masks that I apply them almost everyday during the winter months!
I stock up loads of sheet masks that I have a whole drawer of them. The ones I usually stock up these days are the following, VT Cica x Hyalon Pro-Cica Mask, Etude House Snail Mask, COSRX Full Fit Propolis Nourishing Magnet Sheet Mask, COSRX Cica Calming True Sheet Mask, Beauty of Joseon Centella Asiatica Calming Mask, Neogen Dermalogy Probiotics Relief Mask and the Pyunkang Yul Mask Pack.

You should totally incorporate these products in your skincare routine if you want to prevent dry skin this winter, if you haven’t yet!
Be pretty, be happy, be you! H~
