Lip Talk: Lippies Great for Fall/Winter (2019)

Lippies from my favorite high-end, kbeauty and local brands that I’ve been loving for Fall and will definitely be using for Winter!

Good lippies are a total must for me. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to their lipstick of choice especially when the seasons change. I usually love mine, moisturizing, whether it’s matte, creamy or satin, especially during the Fall/Winter months. I tend to lean on mlbb shades as I know I can use them whole year and I want to keep things natural looking during the colder months, but I can’t stand a lovely red or a good dark shade as well.

Here are a few lippies that I’ve been picking up and using for Fall and would definitely be also using for Winter:

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge

The Lancome L’Absolu Rouge is the lipstick line I have recently discovered and would surely wear during the winter months. This line have colours that speak out. With the L’Absolu Rouge, your lips speak out who you really are.

Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge is available in three different finishes; sheer, cream and matte. I have one Drama Matte, a comfortable, creamy matte finish and one Ruby Cream, a creamy, luminous satin finish. Both may have different finishes but both are very light and comfortable on the lips to wear all day long, and not drying at all making them perfect for the colder months as you fight your lips from chapping.

I have colours that you wouldn’t think I would wear. I have the Drama Matte in 507 Dram’atic which is a dark red shade that I think is great for Winter. I also have the Ruby Cream in 01 Bad Blood Ruby which is a bright red with blue undertone. I also didn’t think this would suit me but a good red lipstick never fails and this was just amazing. I first questioned myself if I would be able to pull these shades off as they apply very vividly on the lips so I just dab them very lightly enough for my lips to have that color but still lovely for day wear.

Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick

Now, we’ve started with my kind of shade and the 1st of 4 lippies with mlbb shades. This lippie is my ultimate love for Fall and would surely take with me all year round, even during the Winter.

The Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Rouge Sculptant has the colour with the power to transform your lips, your look, your attitude. It has multi-faceted pigments that create definition, making your lips look beautifully shaped and sculpted. It is very hydrating and it saturates the lips with high-intensity colour. It truly is very creamy which is something I always look for in a lip product. It doesn’t really last up to 8 hours as it promises but I really wouldn’t mind reapplying this.

The shade I have is 260 Eccentric which is a light pink kind of mlbb shade. I fell in love with the shade at first swatch plus that it is very creamy and hydrating.

Dear Dahlia Lip Paradise Intense Satin

A lippie I would absolutely wear all year round. I even have this with me all the time I go out. I have featured this in my mid-year favorites this year. I have been wearing this during the first half of this year and I can see myself frequently picking this up as my lippie of choice for the rest of the year too.

Dear Dahlia’s Lip Paradise Intense Satin Lipstick effortlessly coats your lips with richly-pigmented color to deliver a brilliant satin finish with a creamy texture. As a certified vegan friendly product, this is formulated with rice bran wax and other plant-based natural ingredients, this gentle formula provides continuous comfortable wear without dryness or flakiness. True to its promise, it has a very rich and hydrating texture despite having a semi-matte finish.

I have 809 Kate, a pink beige shade, which is perfect for daily use!

Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint Velvet

When talking about mlbb lippies, this lippie shouldn’t go unnoticed. I have been using this lippie over and over since early 2018. I’m actually on my 3rd one already.

The Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint Velvet is a feather-light layer like tint, closely adhering like lacquer. It provides a strong lasting effect with a light velvety finish. This is also transfer proof and smudge proof. I have proved that these are all true, which is why this remains the only lippie that I keep purchasing over and over again. It may have a velvet matte finish but it is very comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry your lips out at all, even lasts for up to 8 hours.

I wish to try out all 6 shades of this lippie but shade BE01 Terroir Nude is my ultimate favorite. It is a nude mlbb shade.

Sunnies Face Fluffmatte

With Fall and Winter in mind, most people would think of matte finish lip products, so I have included a new fave matte lippie of mine. Sunnies Face is a local Philippine brand that is taking beauty related things to the next level.

The Sunnies Face Fluffmatte is a line of creamy matte lippies. This is very moisturizing, creamy and lightweight despite having a powdery, matte finish. Upon application, you will be amazed with how vivid the colour is. I have frequently picked this up as the colder months started and it didn’t dry my lips out, even without having to apply any lip balm.

There is a wide variety of fluffmatte shades you can choose from and they even added more just recently but the one I really like is Milkshake, my signature colour, pink nude. The perfect everyday mlbb!

Matte? Moisturizing? Creamy? What are your preferences of lip products for the colder season?

These are mine and I think they would be beautiful on anyone. Plus, these won’t dry out your lips which is a common problem during Fall & Winter.

Be pretty, be happy, be you! H~
