Made an affordable loot box for Mother’s Day!
Mother’s Day is one occasion I usually look forward to, not just because I get to show my endless gratitude to my mom but also because I enjoy shopping for her. For this Mother’s Day, I made sure to get my mom gifts that she would not only appreciate but would also be very useful to her. Also, my mom’s very simple, she prefers to have good food with us rather than receive grand gifts. This is why I opted for the more affordable gifts so as I could spend more for our dinner.
These are what’s inside the gift box I especially curated for her:
• Skincare
Of course, like myself, my mom loves some good skincare. I bought her favorite cleanser and moisturizer. Skincare is very broad, you have lots of things to choose from. From essences to lotions and face masks. You sure won’t spend so much for these too.
• Body care
Just like facial skincare, you also have a wide range to choose from when it comes to body care. I always encourage my mom to take care of herself and her body, her skin’s a given. I even sometimes choose what’s great for her skin type as well. You have a variety of bath gels and body lotions to choose from that won’t break your budget.
• Her Fave Scent
When giving gifts, you never go wrong with perfumes and colognes so I also added her favorite scent here.
• Makeup
My mom always prefers to go out barefaced and with barely any makeup on aside from groomed brows and a dab of her favorite lipstick. But recently, I was so glad to see her with some color on her lids then I realized that she has been loving The Nudes Palette from Maybelline that I gave her last year, she even hit pan now, so I got her another one. You can also always give your mom her favorite makeup item.
• Stationery
I take my love for stationeries after my mom. She always has a journal with her. When I saw this journal from a stationery shop, I was immediately reminded of my mom since she also loves traveling, like myself, so I then decided to get one for her (and for myself, since it’s too cute!).
Also, aside from this gift box, I also gave her the usual cake and flowers.
Mothers are the best people in the world. No one knows you like your mother does and you get only one day in a year to show how much she means to you so make it memorable, even it’s just within your budget! Happy Mother’s Day to all moms!
