The best hot chocolate in London!
I may not be a big fan of hot chocolate but whenever I do crave for it, I go for the best. In London, there is one shop that claims to be serving the best hot chocolate and it is, Italian Bear Chocolate.
Italian Bear Chocolate is a chocolate artisan shop and café which had been serving customers the best hot chocolate since 2012. For 10 years, they have developed their own in-house recipes, rooted in Italian cultural heritage.
They have 2 locations, one in Fitzrovia and one in Soho which I have visited twice already. I love the Italian coffee shop vibe it gives off even just outside.
The interior is also very minimally aesthetic which I really like. It made me feel like I have transported myself to Italy. It was relaxing being there and you can totally enjoy your meal. The staff were also kind and they had good service.
Italian Bear Chocolate is known for its Triple Chocolate concept which they developed in 2015. For my first visit, I had to try this concept. Along with my friends, we got 3 cups of hot Triple Chocolate Mocha with a slice of White Chocolate Cheesecake to share. The mocha was really good but is a bit too sweet for those who don’t have a sweet tooth. I enjoyed the cup dipped in triple chocolate, I even had to scoop every bit of it. While the cheesecake was also lovely.
My second visit was one really hot summer day, so my friend and I have opted for cold drinks. Also, I had to get what they’re famous for this time, the hot chocolate with added triple chocolate. I get now why they claimed to serve the best hot chocolate, because it really was! Although, later on it became too sweet for me. Gladly, we just got the small size. The butter cookies was good too, especially when dipped in the hot chocolate. For the cold drinks, we got the Triple Chocolate Strawberry and Pistachio milkshakes. No, the glass wasn’t dipped in triple chocolate but the inside is filled with 3 kinds of chocolate. I realized this time that the triple chocolate was better with hot drinks as I wasn’t able to totally enjoy it as it was frozen and couldn’t be scooped out.
Here I am, looking overwhelmed with the triple chocolate but also excited to have it. I haven’t tried their best selling triple chocolate cake yet but I’m going to leave it as a reason to go back. May I also add that their prices were very reasonable.
I had enjoyed both my visits and definitely recommending Italian Bear Chocolate, especially when you love hot chocolate. I would surely be visiting again soon!
