New Snail skincare products to add to your list of Holy Grail!
Snail is known for its moisturizing properties, it can help in skin regeneration, collagen production and skin healing. It is one of the skincare ingredients I swear by, as I am a witness to how amazing what snail mucin can do to your skin. Whatever skin type you may have, you can use any products with snail in it. Most of my holy grail products have snail as their main ingredient.
COSRX has one of the best snail products. From the Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence to the Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream, which both are my must have items and have greatly helped in my skincare journey for years now. COSRX has grown their snail line and developed more products with snail/ snail mucin as its main ingredient which totally excite me.
Here, I will reviewing 3 of its new snail products having used them for a month now.
Advanced Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser
The Advanced Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser is a specially formulated gel cleanser enriched with skin beneficial ingredients including snail mucin to hydrate and protect the skin.
This cleanser is probably the newest addition to this line and was probably released in the market just early this year. This promises to harness the regenerative power of snail mucin, having supercharged with 10,000ppm of snail secretion filtrate. This has a stretchy texture for an impeccable cleanse, working its way to those hard-to-reach areas. This also creates the smoothest lather and ultra-gentle care for your skin.
After a month of use, I was actually pleased with the results this cleanser gave me. First, this is a gel cleanser which is great for all skin types, even those with really dry skin. My skin didn’t feel dry at all after cleansing with this. Initially, I was worried as you can see in its ingredients, it has fragrance and it is very noticeable upon lather, but it just reminded me that not all fragrance is bad for your skin, even though I would still prefer those with no fragrance for my skincare products. Lastly, I was amazed by how soft this felt and how clean my skin felt after using. I’m really loving this!
Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence
The Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence is a double synergy effect dual essence. This is a revitalizing essence that turns back the clock to provide a glowing, plumped up and youthful looking finish to skin.
This essence is enriched with 74.3% triple snail complex. This promises a 2 in 1 efficacy, having 2 serums with just 1 pump. As you can see in the bottle, it has 2 sides, the snail filtrate side and the niacinamide side. Both are essential ingredients to develop the skin’s elasticity and radiance. This has triple snail complex, land snail which locks in hydration and refines skin texture; black mucin which helps with pore control and skin regeneration; and golden shell mucin which blocks out harmful UV rays and delivers mucin. This also promises fresh hydration that absorbs deep into the skin.
Having been a fan of the Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence for many years now, I really anticipated to testing this product out and was probably hoping to permanently incorporate this to my skincare routine depending on the results. Dual essences are a trend now as it is always great to having 2 products in one, targeting several skincare concerns as well. I am really impressed with this product as my skin does feel hydrated and moisturized every after use, without it feeling too sticky. What makes this even more promising is the other side is niacinamide which is known to strengthen the skin’s barrier and boosts radiance. I initially thought this could replace my Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence but no, this works better together with it. I would say the only downside is every time I pump it, the products that come out aren’t really equal. I would sometimes wish this had 2 pumps instead. Anyway, I would continue using this as I love both snail mucin and niacinamide, though together with other snail mucin products.
Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream
The Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream is a non- heavy, double-functioning eye cream that visibly brightens the eye area by helping diminish the appearance of dark circles and puffiness with 72% of snail secretion filtrate, 5 types of peptides and niacinamide.
This multifunctional eye cream promises to moisturize, nourish and rejuvenate the delicate eye area. This contains snail secretion filtrate and peptide to restore elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines, as well as niacinamide to brighten dark circles. This is very hydrating and fast absorbing which comes in a light texture that’s suitable for all ages.
I have a never-ending quest in finding the best eye cream and I haven’t really found what I would say my holy grail eye cream yet. This has peptide which is great for those with sensitive skin, and which also helps in collagen production making the area around the eyes look firmer. One thing I love about this eye cream is it comes in a pump container which is very hygienic as most eye creams come in a tub. I have observed that my eye area looks much brighter now. This was the product I looked forward to using the most among the 3 products, mainly because I have been using only 1 eye cream for the past 2-3 years and thought it was about time to switch it up. After a month of use, I would say, I made a good choice and I think I would stick to this for now.
COSRX indeed have the best snail products, considering that the above only costs around 18-28 USD (15-25 GBP) but give the best results. I would definitely recommend all the products mentioned!
