Wrapping up Summer with this little lookbook!
With the autumn chill already present in the air, this hints summer ending. I had a lovely summer despite having to stay at home most of the time!
Lockdown eased during the start of summer here in the United Kingdom but social distancing measures were still strictly implemented. Masks were made mandatory indoors, in shops and when taking the public transport. These were only exempted when outdoors, like parks. Given the current situation, I still see to it to have my mask on and just take it off when I’m eating, drinking and taking photos.
Gardens and parks were the first ones to be opened when lockdown eased, given that people observe the 2 metre distance rule. Being at home for more than 4 months, fresh air was badly needed so I decided to visit the Kew Gardens.
Having gone out for the very first time, I see to it I dress cutely for a short time in the gardens. I wore a cream cropped top, paired with a pink skirt, accessorized with a pink headband and my favourite pair of white Nike Air Force 1’s; and finished everything with a white denim jacket.
Beaches were a hotspot this summer. Having grown close to the beach, it is a must visit during the summer for me. I visited Brighton when the crowd that visited it has drastically lessened.
For a bright day by the beach, I wore this white ruffled top to match this very beachy floral skirt, paired with a pair of pink doll shoes and white denim jacket. I also accessorized with this cute pastel coloured scarf as headband.
Having to adhere to the new normal doesn’t mean you can’t dress prettily. So when I received this cute pink mask from the post, I immediately wore it for a day of errands in the central.
For an errand day, I wore this cute white lace top with this black skirt, kept things comfy with a pair of white leather Chuck Taylors and this pink mask completed my outfit as I would never say no to a hint of pink!
Having my hair grown so long, I was pretty excited to finally have gotten that much needed cut! It took me almost a month after the hairdresser’s opened to get an appointment. Of course, clients need to wear masks all the time while they’re inside the salon.
For a simple but really hot summer day, I wore a white tee under a pink cami, I also wore a pair of shorts on as jeans aren’t an option for the scorching summer heat and I finished the look with this pair of Nike trainers that are getting so much love.
For a breather after a few busy days at work, I visited the lavender farm. It rained a bit but it was badly needed after weeks of dry summer.
I wore this cute peach summer dress under a white cardigan. I completed everything with a pair of pink ballet flats.
What’s happening in the world is really sad. Travelling abroad isn’t an option so for a little getaway this summer, I went to North Devon and enjoyed every single minute there. Devon is such a beautiful place to be that I look forward to going back there. This is also the first time I went outside London, which is why I really looked forward to this little holiday.
A day discovering North Devon meant wearing something cute but comfy. I wore this pink shirt with this white linen trousers, with a white cardigan as it was a bit windy and finished with a pair of white Converse trainers.
Finishing up with a fun Sunday in London! I toured a friend to a few of my favourite spots in the city.
Wrapping up the cute way as always, I had this pink cardigan matching with a white skirt and finished everything with nude ballet flats. (If you realized it, yes, pink and white will always be a motiff, especially during Spring and Summer!)
Summer felt so short but I surely enjoyed it. Hoping and praying that all of you are safe and healthy.
