Featuring my fave lippies in Reds!
We’re down to the last month of the year, so this would be my last post for my Fave Lippies in different colors series and I’ll be featuring Reds.
Red lipsticks are essential for all beauty junkies. I’m not the red lippie kind of girl but I usually reserve using this color for when I’d like to look elegant, like when I’m attending a special event or having an important appointment. I don’t have as many red lipsticks as I have with lipsticks with other colors. Still, I love how red lipsticks help me look put together even with just sunscreen and filled in brows. With red lippies, I wouldn’t need much effort to look pretty. I’ve got here 3 korean makeup lippies, 1 drugstore makeup lippie and 1 high end makeup lippie.
FAVE RED LIPPIES:
• Tony Moly Tony Tint Delight in Cherry Pink
Yes, this is in Cherry Pink but this goes vivid red on my lips. I usually grab this when I couldn’t decide what lippie to wear when I’m in a hurry. This is water based but it’s creamy and light weight. This is also very pigmented. This has rose hip, jojoba and argan oil as main ingredients which is great. I recommend to moisturize your lips first before application because this tends to settle unto the dry patches making your application look uneven. Nevertheless, I really like this.
• The Saem Ecosoul Henna Marker Tint in Erezmi Deep Red
This lippie is very long lasting since this has henna extract, thus the name. This is just perfect for days when you’re too busy for touch ups. This tint is also water based so as it doesn’t get clumpy. This is very pigmented and moisturizing. This is my favorite red lippie for gradient lips.
• Nature Republic Botanical Eco Crayon Lip Rouge in #5 Burgundy Red
This is my first jumbo lip crayon and so far I’m still loving this. This has a glossy, creamy finish. This is velvety smooth when applied on the lips. I just love how moisturizing and hydrating this is. This lasts decently long but needs touch ups after eating and drinking. I heard Nature Republic discontinued this already which made me really sad. I do hope they create another line similar as this or better yet bring this line back.
• L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss in Bazaar
A matte flat finish lip product that I absolutely love. This dries fast and lasts a whole day even with eating and drinking. My lips usually chap off whenever I wear matte lip products but with this, it didn’t happen. Can I just say that this is my favorite red lippie yet?!
• BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Buttercream in Cha-Ching Cherry
I got this gloss as a gift a few months ago and I have been using this since then. I was impressed with how pretty this looked on my lips. This is very pigmented and the color payoff is so lovely. This lasts a decent amount of time as well. This is moisturizing but not sticky at all. I can also layer this with other lip products and end up looking lovely.
