My 2016 makeup essentials…

Korean beauty and makeup was big the past year but it will still be this year! Though there would be a few changes in Korean beauty trends for this year. Let’s see if they would dominate over the trends of last year. Also, here are a few of my makeup essentials and what you can see inside my makeup pouch!

• Etude House Zero Sebum Powder

Dewy skin was big last year but the matte, glowing skin will be the trend this year. Glowing enough to say your skin is hydrated. Powders would be the way to do this trick but I wouldn’t be saying goodbye to my BB Creams thanks to this Drying Powder, the matte finish is still achievable. P.S. Cushion Compacts will still be big this year. But I’m still thinking if I should give in to this trend.

• Tony Moly Timeless Carat Dual Concealer

A good concealer has a long way to go. You can also use it as a primer and a highlighter.

• Etude House Color My Brows and Easy Brow Pencil

Straight brows were the trend last year but rounded brows will be big this year. Straight brows or rounded brows, I can do them both thanks to these babies.

• Etude House Play 101 Pencil

The cat’s eye is coming back this year as well but just a subtle one, enough to make your eyes look bigger. I do away with an eyeliner but I guess I’m doing it for a change this year. Play 101 pencils are very useful to do the cat’s eye trick plus these are available in a variety of colors!

• Etude House Curl Fix Mascara

As much as you want long lashes, curled lower lashes will make your eyes pop and would be more dominant this year. A mascara that can do both tricks is a must. The Curl Fix Mascara has been the holy grail for me and some of my friends.

• Tony Moly Crystal Blusher

A flash of pink would make you look brighter so a good blush is a must! Though I keep it subtle with a peach color.

• Etude House Snowy Dessert Tint

This tint has been my best friend ever since I got it for Christmas. It’s not only a lip tint but also a cheek tint. The grapefruit shade is my fave ‘coz it’s just light but noticeable enough! The gradient lips would still be around but subtle vivid lips would be seen more this year.

• The Face Shop Trendy Nails

Cute nails are never saying goodbye!

• The Face Shop Daily Perfume Hand Cream

A hand cream is very important! Keeping your hands moisturized is as important as any other makeup routine.
