My fave drugstore brand’s take on the cushion trend!

Volume: 14g in a sleek and classy gold packaging

Color: This is available in 2 colors (02 Light and 03 Natural). I got 02 Light since it’s the closest to my skin color.

Scent: Very mild powdery scent but close to none

Texture: This gives off a nice dewy, radiant glow.

Times used: Every time I apply makeup for 2 weeks now.

Skin reaction: Light. Well, I started using this when I was experiencing hormonal breakouts. I still continued using it but it didn’t worsen the breakouts. A week after when my hormonal breakouts cleared out, I still used this and didn’t experience any reactions anymore.

Effect duration: This lasted me around 6-8 hours without any primer on. But this lasts atleast 5-6 hours during very humid days.

Price: 15-16 USD (749 PHP but got this a 100 PHP less as introductory price and it’s for the whole month of June!)

Western brands have definitely taken on the popular Korean cushion trend and having known that my favorite drugstore brand has also come up with a cushion product means I must get one for myself. This does give a decent medium – high coverage and lasts long enough. I have big pores, this did cover those pores but can eventually be visible after 4-6 hours especially during humid days. I like that this had an SPF 29 PA+++ and gives off a dewy, radiant glow. So if you like matte finish then this isn’t for you. The sponge is denser compared to other cushion sponges but still soft upon application. This also has a retractable compact just like other cushion foundations. When I asked the saleslady if they have refills for this, she said no. I’m really liking this product so I hope they’d make refills for this. This is also the most affordable cushion foundation I have ever bought so that’s a plus. Overall, I think Maybelline has made a good job for taking on the cushion trend.
